Free Shipping Promotion At Beauty.com

Just a quick post to let you all know that now until the end of August Beauty.com is offering FREE SHIPPING ON ANY ORDER! That's right, no minimum purchase required. There is no coupon / promo code required. Just click on the link or banner below to take advantage of this offer.

I love when stores offer free shipping with no minimum because it allows me to actually purchase only what I need as opposed to loading up on fillers just to hit the minimum purchase amount to get free shipping. I know it's crazy, but there is something justifiable in selecting $25 more in products to get free shipping as opposed to "wasting" $8 in shipping charges! I know I can't be alone in this logic!

Fall Fashion Week Presented By Elle On HSN

Wanted to post this yesterday, but I totally forgot. This week is Fall Fashion Week on HSN presented by Elle. Lots of cute designer clothing and accessories; some at sale prices. Lines from Tina Knowles, David Rodriguez, Hanky Panky, and so many more will be featured. I was browsing around on HSN.com and found a bunch of fabulous outfits, not to mention some super cute shoes. I told myself I wasn't going to buy any more shoes until after I moved, but I may have to make an exception.

Bath & Body Works Shampoo And Conditioner

I vividly remember the first Bath & Body Works store that opened in my local mall many years ago. Just in time to start high school, this new store offered what seemed like a million different types of hand lotions. I also remember a short time after that when Bath & Body Works first introduced their hair care line. The thought of layering a scent on myself from head to toe was too good to be true...and it was. The hair care line was one of the worst I had ever used. As someone with very thick and volumous hair, I was looking for something moisturizing. What I got was one big, dry, frizzy mess! So imagine my reluctance to test out any hair product from Bath & Body. At the bugging of my mother, we both decided to pick up a set of shampoo and conditioner. This was during the time of their Semi-Annual Sale, so at $3 a piece I wasn't going to be breaking the bank if I didn't like it. I probably waited about 2 weeks before I tried it out as flashbacks from my prior experience with the hair care line scared me to no end. I finally sucked it up and entered the shower armed with the Cucumber Melon fragranced moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. It felt okay going on, and washed off very nicely...I didn't feel like I had a nasty film on my hair like some shampoos and conditioners tend to leave. So far so good, but the important part was what my hair felt like when it was dry. Finally, after a few hours of letting my hair air dry, the verdict was in. I LOVE THIS HAIR CARE LINE!!! My hair felt sooooooooooo soft. I could not believe it. I think this is the softest my hair has ever felt. And the shine was enough to make people around me have to put sunglasses on. Of course, because I procrastinated so much, by the time I realized my new love the $3 price tag was no more. But come on, this is Bath & Body Works and they have sales all of the time. Right now they have the hair care line on sale 2 for $10. So if you've been curious as to the quality of this line, rest assured that it is fantabulous!

I'm A Horrible Blogger!!!

Hey girls! Okay, so I wanted to post a "where have I been" post first, but I got so caught up in the Sephora samples, a the Smashbox review, and the Sephora tote freebie that I brushed that post aside. Let me just tell you, I have about a million things to post about! So many new products and so many new reviews and so many new sales and coupon codes! I have been so busy in the non-internet world that I have neglected this blog. It's horrible of me I know. As I posted in June, I took a class this summer that ran through the middle of July. Following that horrible 4 HOUR FINAL EXAM, I took a 10 day vacation. It was an absolutely wonderful road trip from Chicago down through a majority of the Southern states. So much fun.

When I got back, my Sweetie and I got serious about actually purchasing a home instead of throwing money away on rent and found a home that we love and bought it. It's new construction in the Chicago suburbs. I know, I know...How can I leave the city??? I am so sad about leaving downtown Chicago, but am so happy to be getting a house with three bedrooms and tons of space. I dream about the closet space I'm going to have! The house isn't completed yet, so I've been running around dealing with the design center about final finishes and what not. On top of it, although our house won't be ready until probably the end of September, our lease on our apartment is up this month. My Sweetie and I will be moving in with my parents until the house is completed. So I am currently trying to pack up all of our stuff; trying to sort out what can be put into storage and what we will need while camping out at my parents. Girls from Chicago and other cities with changing seasons know that September can be filled with 90 plus degree days one week and freezing cold rainy days the next. Trying to pull out clothes that cover all of the possibilities is not that easy.

So that's how I've been spending most of my time away from the internet! On top of everything, I start my final year of grad school (YAY! YAY! YAY!) on Monday. So on top of everything else I'll have to start doing the dreaded homework again too. But girls, you have my word, I am so going to start posting regularly again! Thanks for everyone who has emailed and left comments asking where I've been and inquiring as to if I'm okay. You are all so kind. I am so glad that you enjoy my ramblings and humble opinions! Back to packing for a little while, but then I'm coming back with another post!

Smashbox Compact Anti-Shine

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the coupon code for the sample bag from Sephora (see the previous post for more info). In response to a comment requesting information about Smashbox Compact Anti-Shine at the request of one of my closest friends. To quote her, this product is "to die for!" Let's talk about my friend for a moment. Unfortunately for her, she is one of those unfortunate girls who has a naturally very oily complexion. Because of this, if there is any anti-shine or anti-oil product out there she has tried it. Like me, she was always fond of the anti-shine blotting papers, and they worked quite well. The downside to the blotting papers is that she generally had to use 2 to 3 a day. Enter Smashbox Compact Anti-Shine. At first she was skeptical. Would something that you put on in the morning really combat shine all day? The answer: YES!!! This tea-tree oil infused product has not only sucked the oil out of her face, but it also has helped her with acne and blemishes. Since she began using this product, her face is noticably clearer.

One of the best features of this product is the fact that it is colorless. This is a huge plus for those of us who like to change our foundation and tinted moisturizer colors throughout the year. Let's face it, who would want to worry about finding an anti-shine product that corresponds with a bronzer in the summer and then one that matches your winter foundation and so on? Not me.

Bottomline, if you suffer from an oily complexion, my friend insists that you pick this up. If you don't have terribly oily skin, but do get a little shiney here and there (that would be me), I would also highly recommend this product.
