New Gift Sets At Sephora

While I was complaining about Sephora.com, I must say that my faith has been restored! They have begun adding their Holiday Season Gift Sets. And let me just tell you, I am not at all disappointed. I immediately went on a shopping spree and was clicking things into my shopping basket left and right! Being a bargain/budget shopper, I try to buy as much make-up in gift sets/kits as possible due to the fact that usually the prices are unbeatable. There are so many great gift sets available that I could post for two days to list them all. So, I'm going to start with a few of my favorites. Stila Lip Glazes were the first lip gloss that I became obsessed with. I am thrilled that they have chosen to offer the original tubing of the glosses in this gift set, unlike last years generic mini tubes with the "dip sticks." Also, the BEST SHADES are available in this set (well, with the exception of Watermelon and Fig). You get Vanilla, Brown Sugar, Apricot, Grapefruit, Starfruit, and Raspberry. If you scroll through the previous posts on this page, you will find that I am definately a Tarte girl. Two things really drew me to this line: their Cheekstains and their Lip Gloss Duos. Since then I have fallen in love with their mascara, liquid liner, eyeshadows, and pretty much anything else they introduce. This sampler kit is the perfect way to introduce yourself to the line if you're not familiar. This is the first time that I have seem a Tarte sampler that includes their eyeshadows. I am still some what new to Cargo, but everything that I have tried from this company I have loved. I purchased this kit last Christmas when it was just the high color pigment shadows. This kit takes it to the next level by including the shimmer of glitter. A necessity for the holiday season. While I have not tried this particular set (yet), I can't imagine it being very different from last years in quality. These colors will not fade or crease! LORAC Lip Polishes were the second lip glosses that I became obsessed with. The only thing about this kit is that it lacks the trademark polish brush in this kit (at least I'm assuming because their last two Christmas kits contained the "dip sticks" and not the polish brush). Either way, you cannot take away from the quality and shine of this product. I will say that I am happy to see that they are offering more pink and nude shades in this set as opposed to last years set which featured a lot of darker shades.LORAC Glam Glitz Glitter

This is the first thing that I put in my shopping cart. I cannot get enough Tarte Cheekstains. And I love the bag that it comes in. I would buy this set for the bag alone. And this set offers two stains (Glitzed and True Love) that aren't yet available on their own. I purchased the True Love gift set to get True Love a few months ago and absolutely love it. I have not tried Glitzed yet, but I will in a few days when my new BFF, the UPS man, delivers my package from Sephora. If you haven't tried Tarte Cheekstains I highly recomend this set since you will be getting three great shades to try. The gel texture allows this color to blend so well into your skin that you will get the perfect flush of color. People always complement me and ask how I get my natural flush having no idea that I actually do have make-up on. I have to credit Smashbox with coming up with the best and coolest make-up holders. I can honestly say that Smashbox containers and the only ones that I have continually used. I have one in my purse, my school bag, my car, and so on. They are so innovative and seem to perfectly hold my products, and not just Smashbox products. That being said, this kit looks like I will have another handy lip gloss holder even after I finish using these divine lip glosses. Smashbox has really been able to nail the nude/natural glosses. Most of my friends have included this kit in their Gift Registries (That's right! Sephora offers a gift registry so you can let everyone know what to get you for Christmas!!!). I am most excited to try the Frozen Lotion in this kit. They offer a unique way golden glow, using a type of foam, similar to the ones you used to have as a child in the bathtub with foam soap. It offers a cool rush of hydration to your skin. I have never been disappointed by Too Faced products and I don't expect to be by this one either.

Let me end this post with a tip that I use every Christmas. With these gift sets, I like to take them apart and make up gift bags for my friends for Christmas as little stocking stuffers. That way you can give each friend a Stila Lip Glaze, a Lorac Lip Polish, and a Tarte Cheekstain (for example) instead of just giving them only one thing. This also enables you to pair up the correct color for each friend. I speak from experience when I tell you that my friends love this! They literally wait for it every year. It has also introduced them to some of their now favorite products that otherwise they wouldn't even be aware of. Just an idea.

Oh...I should also note that all of these products are limited edition. Now, it seems that sometimes they stock enough to take care of everyone, but there have been a few times when some of these products sell out before Thanksgiving. Just something to keep in mind if there is something that you must have.
