Bare Escentuals Tutorials

One of the things that I love about Bare Escentuals cosmetic kits, besides the fact that they come with full size brushes, is the fact that every set comes with a snazzy set of directions. A spiffy guide that includes both drawings as well as thorough written instructions accompanies every kit. Let's face it, who remembers how to apply it the way the cosmetician did it? Hardly anyone. And while I'm a firm believer that you don't have to use make-up exactly the way you are shown how by the cosmetic companies, sometimes you do want to recreate the look that the model was sporting. Since Bare Escentuals has already mastered this act of offering instruction, it makes perfect sense that they are now offering a new line entitled "Tutorials". Bare Escentuals Tutorials - Lesson 1: Smokey Eye offers a lesson in creating smokey eyes; a look that everyone wants to try at some point in time. Now even, a make-up obsessed junkie, will admit that creating smokey eyes is not always the easiest thing to do. The first time I tried to do the smokey eye look I used a really heavy jet black eye shadow that gave me the most horrendous racoon eyes I have ever seen. Thankfully, you won't have to worry about this with this set because they will walk you through step by step in creating smokey eyes using the eyeshadow shade Skyline (gray lilac) and the Glimmer shade Celestine (ivory). You also get the brush tool to ensure that you will create perfect smokey eyes. This is a great idea. Not to sound like the Carmax commercials but, "I can't believe no one has thought of this before." I can't wait to see what the future "lessons" will be!
